What types of vein conditions do we treat?

Dr. Lynch treats two main types of vein conditions, periorbital veins, and varicose veins. Both of these disorders have multiple methods of treatment. These types of treatment depend on the specific condition and may include many different things.

Periorbital vein treatment methods:

  • Surface Laser Treatments: During this procedure, laser energy is passed over your problem veins; then, they absorb this energy. This causes the veins to become smaller in appearance, and your skin may become smoother.

  • Sclerotherapy: This is a minimally invasive procedure using an injected iodine sclerosing solution. This causes the veins to scar and reroutes their blood flow to other healthier veins. This helps the veins to become less visible.

  • Undereye dermal fillers: Undereye dermal fillers add volume and texture under the eyes to help hide your periorbital veins. However, this is not a permanent solution, and you may require other treatment.

Varicose vein treatment methods:

  • Microphlebectomy: During this procedure, a micro-incision is made in your skin, and the diseased varicose veins are taken out. This allows the blood flow to increase into this area.

  • Ultrasound-guided therapies: A doppler is used to show the treatment area and allow for more precise treatment. It can also be used to help insert a needle or catheter to help treat the area.

  • Laser vein removal: To start the procedure, a catheter is placed, and a laser will be used to cauterize your veins and close them. After this, your catheter will be removed, and the incision closed with a bandage.

  • Advanced Therapies: Our office offers three advanced therapies, including Venefit™, ClariVein®, and VasculLife™ by Alma. These treatments all use different forms of treatment to achieve the same goal of removing your varicose veins.

  • Venclose: A small catheter is inserted into the vein delivering heat to the problem area. This treatment causes the vein to shrink and eventually close.

All of these treatments help to remove or reroute your veins to a healthier area than the one being treated. Your options to treat your vein conditions are almost limitless.
